Reflection about: Integrating Language Learning Strategy Instruction into ESL/EFL Lessons

 by: Catherine Y. Kinoshita.

Dear Ms. Linares and Classmates:

The reading for this week is about teachers can integrate languages learning strategies approach while a second or foreign language is learned. Kinoshita states that if languages learners use whatever metacognitive, social affective strategies by themselves to attend to the language-learning activity,  they can use this approach to improve their learning, but it require that teachers include the techniques in every simple lessons and  the explanations, so learners will become efficient in their use and conduct their own learning events.

Actually, I believe that this approach can motivate to the students to learn, though this approach include awareness raising.  It means that teachers have to make an effort work in domain strategies and techniques because it needs modeling, practicing, explicit and implicit explanation, encouraging and prompting use of strategies.

Sincerely,
